Things are quite quiet here I think. I hope that
excess of zeal (or racketeers' greed) will not lead the
Cantonese seamen and/or port labourers in Hong Kong into
manifestations of patriotism, such as boycotting of
ships which handle Japanese cargo. This harbour could
easily find itself in a 'jam' if they do. I have
taken certain steps to counter such possibilities.
